Knee Pain
Causes, Solutions & How We Help in Dallas, TX
Why Athletes Get knee Pain
Knee pain is one of the most common problems we see at SportsPod and it’s rarely “just a knee issue.”
For active adults and athletes, knee pain usually shows up because the joint is being overloaded, moving poorly, or compensating for something else in the chain.
We don’t just treat the knee.
We assess the entire movement chain to find why it’s overloaded. We build individualized plans to reduce pain, restore strength, and get you back to training with more resilience and confidence.

WHAT WE UNCOVER
OVERUSE AND REPetitive load
1
Miles of running, cutting, jumping, lifting, or long hours on your feet can irritate the knee when recovery and mechanics aren’t dialed in.
Movement Imbalances
2
If your spine, hips, or ankles aren’t moving well, the knee often takes the hit. Poor alignment and faulty mechanics increase joint stress every step.
Ligament, Tendon & Meniscus Injuries
3
ACL/MCL sprains, meniscus irritation, and patellar tendon pain (jumper’s knee) are common in field and court sports — especially with cutting and explosive movement.
Joint Wear & Cartilage Irritation
4
Arthritic changes or cartilage breakdown can lead to stiffness, swelling, and pain — particularly after activity or first thing in the morning.
Compensation from Other Joints
5
Limited hip mobility? Weak glutes? Stiff ankles? When other joints don’t do their job, the knee absorbs more load than it should.
